Leadership and Independence

I'm 61 and recently retired.  My children are adults and mostly out of the house.  I'm not running because I need a paycheck or am looking for a career steppingstone.  I'm running because our problems as a nation are severe, and the current crew of incumbents from both parties has failed by allowing problems to fester and/or be solved only in ways palatable to special interests.

Therefore, I can be independent in forming opinions on issues, bucking a party line when necessary, and working on a bi-partisan basis to solve problems. 

I will pledge to serve no more than 3 terms if elected.
